Express Entry 3,500 Skilled Workers Invited in Latest Express Entry Draw#246

Canada’s immigration system, the Express Entry system, continues to be a popular and effective way for skilled workers to move to Canada. On April 12, 2023, the country held its tenth Express Entry draw, inviting 3,500 candidates worldwide to apply for permanent residency.

To be invited to apply, candidates must have a minimum score of 486 points on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). This score is 5 points higher than the previous draw. Candidates invited to apply can apply for one of three federal economic immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, or the Canadian Experience Class.

The Express Entry system prioritizes candidates likely to succeed in Canada’s labour market. Candidates are assessed based on age, education, work experience, language proficiency, and other factors. The CRS ranks candidates against each other, with the highest-scoring candidates invited to apply for permanent residency.

The latest draw is an encouraging sign for candidates hoping to move to Canada. The country continues to welcome skilled workers worldwide, and the Express Entry system remains popular for those looking to move.

Overall, the Express Entry system remains a promising pathway for skilled workers looking to make a new start in Canada. With the country’s strong economy and welcoming attitude towards immigrants, it’s no wonder many people are drawn to Canada as a place to call home.
